  • Cookies: Substack uses minimal cookies for functionality (e.g., login sessions). No third-party ad tracking.

  • Analytics: Aggregated stats (open rates, clicks) via Substack. We don’t track individual reading behaviour.

• Bluesky List

  • If you join our Bluesky List (optional), we store only your Bluesky handle to manage access. No posts or DMs are stored.

2. How We Use It

• Deliver content: Send newsletters and paywalled posts.

• Improve quality: Analyse anonymous trends (e.g., which topics resonate).

• Engage: Respond to comments or emails (e.g., your contact email).

3. Data Sharing

• Never sold or rented: Period.

• Strictly necessary partners:

  • Substack: Hosting and payments (their policy).

  • Stripe: Payment processing (their policy).

  • Bluesky: For List members (their policy).

4. Your Control

• Opt-Outs

  • Newsletters: Unsubscribe link in every email.

  • Cookies: Block via browser settings (guide).

  • Bluesky List: Email us to remove your handle.

• Requests

  • Access/Delete: Email unwrittenminds@substack.com with “Privacy Request.”

  • CCPA/GDPR: We honour deletion and data-portability requests within 30 days.

5. Security

• Encryption: SSL for all data transfers.

• Minimal retention: Deleted accounts are purged within 90 days.
